Funding and scholarships​ to pursue a degree or learn new skills and certifications can be found on this site, all in one place, all created to help West Virginia students begin their journey.
The Promise Scholarship will pay $5,000 per year or the cost of tuition and mandatory fees, whichever is less, at any eligible institution
The West Virginia Higher Education Grant is a need-based financial aid program to ensure West Virginia students are given an opportunity to pursue post-secondary education
West Virginia Invests is a last-dollar-in1 financial aid program designed to cover the cost of tuition, mandatory fees and academic program fees2 for certificate or associate degree programs in specific high-demand fields, as determined by the West Virginia Department of Commerce, at a participating West Virginia public two- or four-year institution.
Underwood Smith Teaching Scholars helps recent high school graduates pursue rewarding careers as WV teachers in math, science, elementary education or special education​
Underwood Smith Teacher Scholarship Loan Assistance allows up to $3,000 annually to be  paid toward federal student loans if the graduate agrees to teach mathematics, science, special education, elementary education, and counseling in West Virginia.​
West Virginia STEM Scholarship is available to qualified students interested in pursuing an education in engineering, science or technology.
West Virginia Nursing Scholarship program offers awards to students pursuing LPN, RN, LPN teaching or master’s or doctoral nursing education who are willing to stay in West Virginia.​
The HEAPS grant encourages and enables West Virginia students who demonstrate financial need to continue their education on a part-time basis at undergraduate institutions of higher education
HEAPS Workforce enables West Virginia students who demonstrate financial need to enroll in a post-secondary certificate, industry recognized credential, or other skill development program in a demand occupation in West Virginia.
Choose West Virginia is a tuition waiver program that incentivizes nonresident West Virginia medical students to remain in West Virginia to practice
Th​e Health Sciences Service Program is a loan repayment program (not a financial aid scholarship) for health professions students interested in practicing in underserved communities in West Virginia
Mental Health Loan Repayment program provides an incentive for practicing mental health professionals to deliver therapy or counseling services in underserved areas of West Virginia
