The West Virginia Division of Administrative Services/Justice and Community Services is designated the State Administrative Agency (SAA) for Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act (SORNA).
This funding is awarded annually to the State of West Virginia in order to obtain/maintain compliance. The WVSP was ordered by WV State Code §15-2-25 in 1993 to establish and maintain a central registry of all individuals required to register as a sexual offender. The State Police were required to maintain a central registry of all persons who register under this article and release information only as provided in this article.
