The Stop Violence Against Women program in West Virginia strives to develop a means by which the State can ensure a safer environment for women. 

The STOP Violence Against Women Act provides financial assistance to States for developing and strengthening effective law enforcement and prosecution strategies and victim services in cases involving violent crimes against women.
