The West Virginia Public Charter School Board will award two Charter School Program subgrants totaling up to $2.8 million during this FY 24 competition —one to a newly created charter school and one to an expanding high quality charter school already serving West Virginians. Subgrant awards are claimed on a reimbursement basis.
Awards are calculated based on an applicant’s projected enrollment, with the maximum subgrant award of $1.75 million. Charter School Program subgrants may provide financial assistance to charter schools that serve elementary, secondary school students, post secondary students, or early childhood education programs
